Profile Summary
Sound Energy plc is a United Kingdom-based transition energy company. The Company's principal activities are the exploration, appraisal and development of gas assets. Its principal area of activity is Morocco. The Company's Eastern Morocco licenses include Tendrara Concession, Greater Tendrara and Anoual. It owns around 75% of Tendrara Concession with production permit of 133.5 square kilometers (km2) acreage. Its Eastern Morocco Licenses comprising the concession together with the Anoual and Greater Tendrara exploration permits are positioned in a region containing a potential extension of the established petroleum plays of Algerian Triassic Province and Saharan Hercynian Platform. These licenses cover a surface area of over 23,000 km2. The Greater Tendrara's permit area surrounds the Tendrara Production Concession. The Company owns around 75% of Sidi Moktar license, which is located in the Essaouira Basin, in Southern Morocco. The license covers a combined area of over 4,712 km2.
