Cybersecurity:

An Ocean of Opportunity in Hampton Roads

We are pleased to invite you to the 2nd Annual ODU CyberOPS 2018. This year’s theme is Cybersecurity: An Ocean of Opportunity in Hampton Roads. The goal of ODU CyberOPS 2018 is to provide a forum for students, faculty, business, military and government stakeholders in the many Cybersecurity sectors in Hampton Roads to network, share ideas, learn about workforce & economic development opportunities, and especially to encourage the next generation of Cybersecurity professionals.

Co-sponsored by ODU’s Center for Cybersecurity Education & Research, the Virginia Cyber Alliance and the ODU Cybersecurity Student Association, the 2nd Annual ODU CyberOPS 2018 will feature a one-day conference:

Taking place on the campus of ODU in Norfolk, VA, the conference will be presented free of charge.

This conference is for you if you are a:

• Student interested in Cybersecurity internship/employment opportunities;
• University faculty in criminal justice, psychology, ethics, law, computer science, or any other cybersecurity-relevant field;
• Business, industry, military, or city/municipal leader in Cybersecurity;

This year’s Conference will feature an Intern/Apprentice panel to showcase students’ professional development experiences, and a Workforce & Economic Development panel to explore the economic impact of Cybersecurity in Hampton Roads. The luncheon will feature a keynote speaker. A Research Roundtable will be presented in the afternoon to highlight cutting edge research in Cybersecurity, facilitate networking, and explore opportunities for collaboration.
